I'm currently in Korea as a tourist. I possess an RCMP check that is 5 months old and so will expire in one month. I would like to continue traveling around Korea for longer than a month, but wish to avoid applying for a new check if possible. Would Seoul Immigration accept my check now and keep a copy on file, or does the check have to be submitted with a signed contract for a job?

Any replies greatly appreciated,

Hercule Poirot

This is a guess, but probably not. BUT you can always try. The problem I would see is communicating the idea to the immigration official. What about a D-10 visa could that be an option. I think it wold not work.

Another option is to find a place to hold your contract. Then transfer later when you find a job.

Still get another CRC in the pipe being processed. It could be done in a month (fingers crossed) with some help from your congressperson and apostille service.

Good Luck!
