Anyone know of a boxing gym in Seoul besides the one in Hannam? They want 100k per month.
Was wondering if there's lower? I'm just starting so I want to see if I'll commit to the sport before I start paying big money.
Thanks. |

Most of the gyms are around 100 bucks a month. In Korea, it's more about rich kids and ajossis getting fit, rather than getting the poor kids in the gym to become champions.
BUT... I heard a rumor that my old teammate Choi Jong-yoon opened a 30,000 a month boxing club! I'll make a call tomorrow and get the info for you. |

That would be brilliant. Thanks.
Do you know anything about Hannam? Is it any good? Do they give people individual attention? |

No problem.
Hannam seems like a real fighters' gym; more active fighters than other gyms. They've got the current Korean middleweight champ, the #1-ranked super-flyweight, and the #2 ranked super-lightweight.
I believe fermentation trains there, so you could ask him about individual attention. |

Hey I just made a call. Choi Jong-yoon's gym is called, um, "Choi Jong-yoon's Gym" lol. BUT... the 30,000/month is long over. He's now at 100,000 per month, like all the others. |

Ghana a lot for that. I'm actually in Hannam now looking for the gym. I rang for directions and stil can't find it. Can't understand why they don't have a map on their Facebook. |

Nah I train at Hongdae. We have the #1 Super lightweight.
I think almost every gym is around 100 a month. My gym gives a discount to long time regulars. I pay 70 a month. |
