I know some Americans who don't pay taxes, but I doubt they owe this much. The guy does make a good point that they let illegals in ...

This looks scarry! I wonder what will happen to those individuals that say paying taxes is unconstitutional? Next thing you know, the government will be telling them that it's against the law for them to inhale the air that they breath. Life unworthy of life. Adolf Hitler is alive and well in the U$A!

Yeah, people expected to pay taxes and obey laws! This is Nazi Germany all over!

I think 'freedom' is a relative term. It requires context.

Yeah like paying taxes is a new concept that shocks people... Laughing

I would buy popcorn and sit in the audience to watch any yahoo who tries to make the case that paying income tax is unconstitutional. That would be pure comedy! Laughing Heck put it on cable as one more reality show that highlights how moronic some people are....

As for the nazi germany reference concerning the USA, I think some people are in dire need of either a history lesson or a trip to what an actual dictatorship is like.....

It's a little scary. not on the level of nazi germany of course. but lots of people find themselves on the hook for 50 grand or more to the US gov these days. and although nobody simpathizes with rich guys who either refuse to pay their taxes or cheat on them, they can usually come up with cash one way or another. some people might not be able to.

1.if you owe more than 50 grand in student loans and are in default.
2.people who were caught unaware that they had to report their foreign bank accounts if total exceded 10 grand. fines are midevil.
3.people who refinanced their underwater homes under obama's new scheme to "help" them out. before they did so they could have walked away without sacrificing anything but their credit rating. according to an article i read on zero hedge the new contracts fine print has loan backed by gov/taxpayers, meaning total transfer of toxic debt from banks balance sheets to the publics and student loan like rules/don't disapear even in bankruptcy.

these are just off the top of my head from recent news and current events. if i'm wrong on any of these points feel free to correct and i will edit or delete post. i'm not an expert and haven't researched this stuff in depth so please don't kill the messenger and take info with a grain of salt. remember what ron paul said in a debate a few months ago on the subject of building a fence on the border with mexico? everyone is so gung ho to build a fence to keep them out, but that same fence could also be used to keep you in.

and i don't understand why a passport is a "privilege". i never thought the land of the free was a prison you could not exit without the permission of corrupt politicians, bought and paid for by crony corporate thugs.

A passport is a privilege because it lets you ENTER other countries. Once you exit the "land of the free" you are in another country's territory...one that has no obligation to let you in. So it's a privilege. To move around within "the land of the free" however you don't require one.
So no it's not a prison...you just can't go to another country without official documents proving who you are.

The US government can already revoke your passport if you owe taxes and are in another country to avoid not paying taxes or facing prosecution.
