I have offers of admission from Arizona State and the University of Missouri. The program at Arizona State is a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction, while the program at Missouri is a Master of Education. Both programs have a focus on TESOL.
Both schools seem to be roughly of equal quality, but I like Arizona State because the program can be completed in five semesters, meaning that I would have my degree in time for the start of the 2014 school year in Korea. The program at Missouri is 33 credits, which seems like it would be a little tough to complete in five semesters, though possibly doable.
Going to Missouri is $2,000 cheaper, but ASU seems better organized. Between that and knowing for sure that I can have my degree from ASU in 18 months, I'm leaning towards ASU.
What do you think? If you've done the program at Missouri or you know someone who has, is it possible to complete it in five semesters? |
