|
|
For anyone who has gotten married in Korea... I heard that you have to buy a dress/makeup/photo package and that everything comes together like that... is that the only/cheapest way?
Also, what were the prices like? I'm on a budget, so any help would be great ^.^
If you live in Daegu and have names of companies you recommend/ don't recommend, that would also be awesome~~
Thank you!! |

You dont need to buy a package.
Makeup is ridiculously expensive. Wife had someone coming to our place on the wedding day and she did her hair and make-up. She was a freelancer and charged 150,000Krw. I thought it was way too expensive until I heard that a friend of mine paid 700,000 for the wifes make-up.
I also have to add that back home on our official wedding my wife did her own make-up and hair and the overall result looked much better.
We got her wedding dress here: http://www.weddingelysia.com/
Its not in Daegu but will give you an idea that there are really nice looking wedding dresses which wont cost millions of wons. With a couple of other bits: gown, crown, gloves, earrings and necklace we paid under 300,000Krw all together. |

Wow! That's awesome~~~ I have someone who will do the photos for cheap (I don't want the 5000 studio/magazine pre-wedding photos (who wants that? I'm not a model @.@) and there are tons of freelance hair/makeup artists, but everyone told me just to get a package (very lowest 1mil won) because that's how it's done @.@
The link looks cool~ but, is this rental cost or do I have to buy it? I don't want to buy a dress I'm only going to wear once... (I'm the cheapest bride, x.x Is that a good thing?) And I'm sure there is one like this in Daegu, and if not... is this in Seoul?
Did you get your tuxedo from here, too? They are EXPENSIVE @.@;;
Thank you so so much!! |

That is purchase price, I think they dont do rental.
We used it 2 times so it was worth it and I could even sell it out afterwards.
Its in Hannam, but pretty close to Seoul.
Its probably enough to go there only once. We did that. My wife tried a few ones and we picked the one we liked. The ajumma than took her measurements and her fitted dress came in the post in a few days. All information is on the website regarding to location, open hours, phone number etc.
I didnt buy tuxedo here, I got a suit back home. |
