Hi.
I thought I'd post this on here and see if anyone has some useful input.

Basically, me and some pals are looking to rent a non-residential premises for perhaps just a month (as a start). We want somewhere we can do anything from throw parties to just sit around playing video games without worrying about noise complaints. We don't plan to make any money from it; just get a good number of us to throw in 200,000. One consideration was a bar that closed down in our area, but we were advised that the landlord would be unlikely to accept such a short lease.
What are the options available to us?

Please advise if you have any helpful tips, related stories or experience!
Thanks.

Do you just want to rent the place? Or are you thinking of renovating or moving in some furniture/equipment? If a bar has just closed down, and you only want to rent for a month or so, I'm sure the owner would rent it to you. Otherwise he's losing money on it.

Just looking to rent the place really. We might bring in some temporary furniture but certainly nothing in terms of renovation will be done.

I'll try talking to the owner of a bar that closed down recently.
Basically, somewhere that won't get noise complaints and is rent-able for a month is the ideal.

There is also an MMA gym which closed down nearby that might work.

Any more suggestions as to the type of place I should be looking for?
