I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience getting one of these in Korea? I was wondering how advanced, how safe, and how expensive they were.

I had my Mirena replaced with a copper IUD a few months ago. I was asked if I preferred to have another hormonal IUD, but the doctor recommended that I try the non-hormonal. Insertion took 5 minutes and cost 110,000 won. The entire visit took 15 minutes. I felt like the Korean doctor did a much better job than my former American doctor, with the added benefit that he didn't lecture me about why I wanted one.

I just went to a regular gynecologist's office in Masan. Nothing special. IUDs are way more common here than they are in the US, and there's no real reason (as long as you've done your research) to go to a special hospital.
