So I'm headed back to ATL for two weeks in July. I'm curious, how is the jet lag once you get home?

I'm on the AM flight home, leaving Seoul at 10:30 AM and arriving in Atlanta at 11:10 AM (13.75 hrs)....

I just remember every time I've been to Europe, I've been tired a few hours after landing and needed a nap, but then I get up and go out and just, honestly, pass out from the drinks haha. Something tells me this might be like that x2...

My jet lag coming here wasn't bad as I landed at 5 PM and just had dinner and went to bed and got up the next AM.....

Thanks for the scoop.

Sleep as much as you can on the flight. When you arrive in Atlanta, do not take a nap. Stay up to as close to a normal local bedtime as possible.
One good long night's sleep & you should feel good to go.

Good luck.

Never had jet lag going east, but for some reason coming back west really knocks me for six. Usually takes me about a week to competely get back to normal (from a time zone like Korea, anyway)

Listen to schwa!

Never ever go to sleep (or take a nap) in the middle of the day after jumping a couple of time zones! You will probably look and feel like sh.t when you arrive and much worse later but stay up untill at least it's dark and you will sleep through the night. The next day should be fine.

Stay up as late as you can and avoid alcohol.

Eat breakfast, and all meals according to the time zone you are traveling to 36 hours in advanced. So if that means waiting a little more until you have some food, wait. And stay hydrated.
