They have to wear Mickey ears whilst doing their classes - no joke. |

You're not actually blacklisted. Immigration doesn't care if you quit. It's not illegal either.
It may show up on your immigration file that you quit a job or left early. It's also possible that someone at immigration told your prospective employer this when he applied for a visa application number. In this case, it would have been the school that dropped you (using the excuse that immigration refused the application).
Who told you that the visa was denied? Did you actually get a visa issuance number?
If you want to come back to Korea then just tell the school or recruiter up front that you quit because the boss wasn't paying you in full. Say that you gave notice. If the visa was denied at the Korean Embassy/Consulate then ask them why (politely). If it's because they know you quit an earlier job, then just explain the situation to them (politely, without making it sound dramatic). Or if you're abroad (in China or Japan) then hand in your documents at another Korean consulate. |

Desperate times call for desperate measures, lol. I personally just wouldn't go back to korea, but some people become content with the place. |

My recruiter didnt give me many details. I guess it was just about 2 years ago now that I tried to get another job in Korea. Ill try to look through my emails and see what he said. I just remember him saying the visa was denied.

Yeah, I think it's illegal for immigration to do that. Find out for sure. Then, if your boss cut a deal with some rogue immigration agent, sue them for libel. But, you can't be blocked unless you committed a crime. |

Are you only dealing with one recruiter? You shouldn't limit yourself to one recruiter. Write to as many as you can find. Send them a form letter with a resume and photo and a scanned copy of your documents (so that they know you're ready to go). See what offers you get then choose the best one. Don't tell the others that you've made a decision to go with another offer because recruiters (and schools to some extent) are notorious for keeping several applicants interested in the same job just in case they don't like their first choice of if their first choice backs out. Or sometimes someone better comes along and they give the job to that person. Then they tell the other applicants that the school owner changed her mind or that there was a problem with immigration. Then all those people that they were stringing along for a month are now left to start over again. Don't put yourself in that situation. Apply to many places. If one of them backs out, then go with the next choice. |

Actually, we don't know if you are blacklisted. You could be. Immigration does have a black list. It is legal for them to maintain a blacklist. In fact, it is their job to admit and to deny admission of foreigners to Korea, which means it is their job to maintain such a list. They decide who to put on the list and why and who to listen to when they make their decision. Normally, people are blacklisted for criminal activity in Korea or violation of Immigration rules.
If you have put on the immigration black list based on incorrect information (lies reported by a previous employer, for example) then it is up to you to find out and to correct the information. |

Blacklisting by Immigration usually requires a criminal conviction. Call Immigration and ask them about your status. You can call them from anywhere, including overseas, but call during regular Korean hours of 9 am - 6 pm Seoul time.
