Not to mention the E he had probably done earlier, his friends being caught with a massive stash of it and all... E comedown in cop shop = no thank you.

So after busting the building occupant for drugs, they brought this kid in for questioning and didn't bother checking if he was high? Or if he had any drugs on him?

As for 5 days being "weak"... I think the concern at that point is imminent death. 5 days with no water is very close to the point of fatality. I'd imagine this guy gave up hope of rescue around the time he carved a farewell message into his arm...

I'm pretty sure being told that he could go by the D.E.A meant that he wasn't high at the time. Also according to this, he was handcuffed the entire time.

I hope he gets all the money he is asking for.

Although appalling the payout will be pretty impressive.

It will certainly be more than a newly crippled soldier gets in compo.

It's probably better to wait for the actual verdict before exclaiming how it was a wonderful thing and how much money he'll be rolling in.

@Dave Chance

Until a verdict is delivered its probably not a good idea to comment full stop. Yet it didn't stop you earlier on and its not going to stop me, its dave's not the Senate.

Plus is there really any doubt that in a country where you can get thousands of dollars for tripping over, being left in police custody without food and water will mean a good deal of compo.

Btw I am not attacking the guy, good for him I hope he gets every penny he deserves.
