|
|
I just wanted all of you to know that there is a casino in Daegu that is better than the ones in Busan and the ones in Seoul, that I have visited. Also they have Texas Hold 'em with tournaments every Sunday and cash games every night.
They give out free food and drinks, the staff are cool, and they don't have any of that computerized BS that the other casinos have.
Just wanted to let eveyone know. It is in the 'Hotel inter- Burugo' in Manchon dong. |

Live NL cash games everynight?!?! Against other players and not the house?
Daegu just might have shot to the top of my preference list!
Id either leave Korea broke or with a poo load of money after one year! |

No way is it better than the 7 luck casinos in Seoul or Busan. One problem is, it's dead 90% of the time, so they have to give ultra good service as they are desperate for custom.
The poker games there are infrequent and often I ended up going all the way there to pay to get home an hour later as there were only 3 people that wanted to play hold em cash games.
As for blackjack, yeah easier to get a seat there than in 7-luck for sure. Man in Gangam / Busan 7-luck I used to have to wait for more than an hour sometimes on a saturday. Daegu - there are so few players, you just breeze on up and are garuanteed a seat.
Atmosphere better at 7-luck imo, both Seoul and Busan, and the drinks and meals are the same at all Casinos in Korea pretty much, never noticed any descrepancy in quality or anything.
I'd rate 7-luck Busan as my favorite as the staff at Seoul are snooty and rude at times as they have customers a-plenty, so gave up the ghost of caring to provide decent service years back. Not so at Busan. Yeah the Daegu staff ARE friendlier but mostly only out of need.
Walker hill - meh been too long. I remember it being decent enough though and they have a five bucks Bj table.
As for the poker pit crew and maangement at 7-luck Gangnam / COEX -
Most racist, miserable bunch of a'hats I've ever had the displeasure of paying ten percent rake to in my life. Gyopos and Adjoishis get star treatment there whilst other nationalities are treated like they're doing you a favour. Rudest bunch of clowns I've ever encountered in casino gaming in over 12 countries. Lots of colluding too IMO, which goes overlooked. Puts every hand you have at a poor percentage as half the table is going in after you.
All in all, if you're already in or around Daegu, yeah why not the Interburgo. Nice little casino, although often too quiet for my tastes. But the poker was very hit and miss for me, some nights a table or maybe two, some sat and fri and sunday nights - nada. So yeah the poker was the let down for me, for everything else - apart from atmosphere - it's a nice place with nice facilities.
Best blackjack / roulette atmosphere for me is Busan 7-luck. Lots of Japanese and Chinese and westerners, and not as many older kyopos as Soeul (they're always so bloody miserable at the bj table.) You get a very 'Suhgoi!!' atmosphere! I love playing Blackjack with Japanese tourists at the table; they are the best blackjack company on the planet, and then it's US army, they are a hoot too, they really get into the table of players VS the dealer / house spirit!! |

I was just there for 3 days. they got budweiser on tap. The roulette is low tech, but i like that better. The table games have more than enough seats. It is the only place in the south with a legit hold 'em section where you don't have to look over your shoulder. I won't ever be going back to seven luck or paradise in Busan. |

Oh it's fine for tabel gaming, but I was frustrated with the poker frequency and consistency. |
