I think this a great game for reviewing lessons. I downloaded a template off waygook.org, however I am trying to edit it using powerpoint. I want to put up a grid of random letters, then the students pick a letter which reveals the question.
Click on it again and it reveals the answer. If the answer is correct click on it again and it reveals the teams reward i.e 1,2,3 points. How can I set this up I have spent about 5 hours playing with powerpoint to no avail and it's starting to drive me crazy. So if anyone could help it would be really appreciated thanks. |

Just set up three layers of formatted textboxes (use a fill for background colour)
Bottom layer = points
Middle layer = answer
Top layer = letter
Now, animate the top layer for exit (any style). In the animation pane on the right (if it is not there, click on the Animation Pane button in the menu at the top if using the latest edition of Office) right click on the new animation and choose "Timing"
Timing > Triggers > Select "Start effect on click of:" and choose the name of the textbox you have animated.
Now, if you click the textbox, it will disappear.
Do the same thing for the second layer (the answer). It too will disappear when clicked. Leave the third layer (the points as is)
Make sure that the textboxes sit on top of each other in the correct order. The question textbox will hide all the others.
Now, copy ALL THREE layers of textboxes and paste elsewhere on the slide. This will copy all the set animation as well, so you don't have to set it up again. Now just edit the question to something else.
And repeat and repeat. |
