Hey! Just got offered a contract for Avalon in Ilsan. Has anyone ever taught there!!!? Any advice or info would be appreciated!!! THANKS!!!  |

| Did you ask about having to work Saturdays!!??!! The best thing to do is try and talk to a teacher (or two) currently at the school!!!! |

One of my former coworkers worked at an Avalon branch in Gangnam three years back. He said they were very strict and nitpicky; parent's complaints always came back to the teachers; etc. He stayed in Korea but moved to a different hagwon.
On the other hand, they're a big brand, so that alleviates worries of them going insolvent or pulling anything too shady.
But yeah, definitely speak with a foreign teacher currently at the site before signing anything. |

| Avalon is getting worse and worse. I think the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. Head office is dodgy, too. |

| Best to talk to someone who works there. Each location is ought to be different. I worked at an Incheon branch a few years back. Wasn't that bad. |

Do like others suggest, and contact someone currently working at Avalon.
Ilsan is a great city, though. One of the best cities I've lived in. |
