So Ive been working for a hogwon since sept and my ARC is valid till next september but the hogwon changed buildings last month. My school said that immigration needs me to resubmit all of my original documents to them because of the address change.
I'm really confused about the whole thing. They said that if we need copies from them I need to go to the immi office and get the copies in person and then submit them to the office again. I dont understand why they want me to get copies of something they already have and submit it again to them!
Does this make any sense? It's a huge hassel and I dont really know what it is they are asking of me since it makes no sense. |

Are you sure this is not merely a crazy mistranslation by your co-workers?
Perhaps MOE needs document copies? |

Immigration needs a change of workplace or change of employer application.
You need ARC, passport, contract, address and business registration. If the business actually changed names then you can add a new sponsorship form as well.
Depending on what they actually did the costs will vary from free (change of address) to 60k won (change of employer).

My school changed locations. I went with my boss to immigration and they updated it on my ARC card. She had to pay a penalty fee because she hadn't done it within 15 days, but I certainly didn't have to submit anything new. I just went with her because I don't give my passport or ARC card to anyone but immigration or airport officials.
Just go to immigration with your boss. |

Thanks for the help. I'm heading there tomorrow. Immigration is still saying I need all my documents resubmitted (health, fbi, degree etc) for this change of address.
I guess we'll figure it out there tomorrow. |
