Ever tried Astra blades? Any good? There are boxes of 100 for sale on Auction for about 9000won. I might just go with a box of Dorco for the same price. I found those to be very smooth and forgiving, and they also go dull (instead of becoming jagged like the Derbys) when it's time to replace them, which means fewer nicks. |
Nah, just Sharp and Shark. Shark blades seem sharper to me. Again, if you can get someone to mail you a 100 pack for $15 from Amazon (2 years+ of shaving for most) it's about as cheap as you can get. |

Since I'm running out of Derbys, I figured I'd order something online. You got me wondering about the Shark, so I ordered a pack of 100 Shark stainless steel for 11$ (and a couple of packs of 10 of Astra and Asco for about a dollar each more just to try them out). Delivery included.

I ordered from a seller in Turkey, www.bestshave.net. Based on his prices, selection, and location, I'm pretty sure he also sells as leufeu on eBay.

I've always found the cheap blue, disposable, double bladed ones without moistureising strip to be just as good as any 5 bladed wizard stick.
I find the true importance in shaving is in the softening up the stubble by soaking in hot or warm water first and using a good lubricating and moisturing gel or foam to aid the work of the blade.
Then again, I'm fair haired, so, perhaps I'm unaware at how much more difficult it is to get a good, close shave if you are dark haired and have tougher stubble. I'd imagine it is more difficult. |

Sure, softening the stubble is very important. But, I can't use disposable razors. They are too dull for me. The blades just drags and pulls unless I apply a lot of pressure, which irritates my skin. |

Just for the heck of it, I placed another order from the store I mentioned. Prices are hard to resist, I had to try more stuff.
For soap, try ebay.it for 500ml tubes of Proraso cream for 5 Euros or so (almost 30$ at ebay.com). The seller I used to order from doesn't sell anymore, but you might be able to find another who'd be willing to ship to South Korea. |

PPS. I also ordered a variety of soap from http://www.barbieredifigaro.nl/
The actual prices are about 25% cheaper than what's posted (the prices are correct after you register and login). Search online for coupons (found one that gave me a 5% discount).
Sure, I already have all the soap I need (I have two 500ml tubes of Proraso), but a little bit of variety never killed anyone. |

I take it all back. I folded and bought some disposable bic 3 blade razors. Literally about 7 strokes and I was done.
Well worth the extra few quid. |

Not to hijack but are there any real benefits to using after shave?
What does the alchohol in after shave actually do the pores anyway?
I'm gonna try a pack of those Dorcos out. |

What kinda freak are you??!! 
Seriously, I rarely use aftershave but the alcohol splash might inhibit an infection from a cut a bit - I think it's more for smelling good than anything. |

It's all about soothing the skin.
There are different types of aftershaves. Cologne (in case you were wondering: http://www.4711.com/ ) is alcohol based, but non-alcohol based balms and gels won't leave your skin feeling dry. |
