|
|
I wasn't planning on buying a US version while I'm here, just playing in a PC 방. What I'm unsure of is if I will be able to play on the US servers in the PC 방 while I'm here using my own battle.net account in English, so I can continue using the same account and characters when I eventually buy the game in the US. Anyone know? |

Diablo III is supposed to be multiregional, while you can't carry characters over from one server to another, you can switch between them.
They have three servers; Americas, Asia, and Europe.

You can change the region in game. However, you cannot change the language in game with the Korean client, so if the PC Bangs are using a standard Korean client, you wont be able to play in English. |

Does anyone know if the Korean version comes with an English language installation with English client? I know Diablo 2 didn't have that but I managed to pick up a very very cheap English version in Yongsan. If not I will have to get the digital version but I prefer hard copies. |

I have bought the Korean version digitally and I am not able to download it in English or change the language in game. |

When you bought it online, did it have this on the page:
Quote: |
Available Languages
:
English (US),
English (EU),
English (SG),
Espaol (EU),
Deutsch,
Franais,
Italiano,
Polski,
繁體中文,
한국어,
Espaol (AL),
Portugus (BR) |
It shows up on my EU Battle.net. Since I have an eu Battle.net account I can get it on there shouldn't be a problem if push comes to shove. |

My version only show 한국어 because my battle.net account's regional setting is Korean (had to change it to play SC2). As long as your regional setting is NA/EU you shouldn't have any problem. Your version might be more expensive though, mine was 55,000 won. |

Well, that's promising then, I would still prefer the hard copy though. If anyone can help me on that, please do. I will be playing this game after work today so it's either a trip to my local E-Mart or downloading |

Remember that your local Emart's Diablo will probably be the Korean only version (Since it's at a discounted price compared to the full-language version). What I said about the regional setting was meant for digital downloads. |

Anyone can get the English client and connect to any server. Get a NA battle.net account (it's free) and download the game client of choice:

Getting a hard copy here is probably not worth it.
As far as region and language is concerned, if you download the American client, and the language pack, you can play in any language, on any server. Some people might not be sure because of the region locks from last night and today, but Blizzard has stated that they were locking the regions until all the launches had finished. I can confirm that I was able to change the language to English in the PC bang easily, although I wasn't able to connect to the Korean servers in English due to the lock. |

hey i got the digital pre order diablo 3 and i cannot change the language to english
basically says that my language is not connected to the diablo 3 account or something along those lines
can only play in korean but i can play in any regions WITH korean only.
is that normal? the battle.net account is korean region and its locked..
so do i wait till the global release and then i can change the language to english or is that permanently disabled? |

what i have heard from the grapevine is this...
US and EU versions can switch language and region codes... but certain types (Korean, Russian, and a few others) cannot. It has something to do with the fact that they are significantly cheaper than the EU and US versions. |

Yeah you want the global language version which is about $65 USD; buy the digital download from your battle.net account. |

Didn't Blizzard lock some things like changing region because some places didn't have the game yet? You might be able to switch it later. |
