I think the KR version is a bit funky, and will probably be KR language only forever because of the lower price. |

@realworldexperience:
Make a North American battle.net account and download it from there. At this time, the region lock should be over (it was supposed to be over couple hours ago) and you should be able to connect to the Korean servers in English. When you posted, the region lock wasn't over because the game hadn't officially launched in North America. |

Well, just paid for the game on my eu battle.net. It seems like the easiest option after all. |

Shoot me an email akcrono(at)gmail and i'll send you the US installer (it's like 6 MB).
To be honest, the battle.net downloads have been confusing me lately. The US one has been consistent; I've been able to download the game for awhile now. On my Korean account, at first it wasn't an option, then it was, but only in Korean. Strange. Check your NA account's region and make sure it's the US or Canada (or similar). |

So I've downloaded and played the game. My account is an EU registered account. I downloaded the US client. With global play now active, I'm able to play on every server (Asia, US, EU). The most surprising this is the ping.
Asia: 50-70
US: 180-220
EU: 300-350
I'm currently playing on EU (with friends), and even with the highish ping, it's COMPLETELY PLAYABLE. So don't worry too much about pings, and play where your mates are playing.
Lastly, if you have the US version, you are able to change the language to korean. (it downloads it). So I'm able to play on any server in English or Korean.
Lastly, can anyone clarify, if I missed this earlier. With the Korean version, are you able to play on different servers (even though the client is locked into Korean-only). |

For some reason, gmail is not loading on my computer. I will keep checking it regularly, and will fire off my email responses to those who messaged me ASAP.

You SHOULD be able to use the US version to play with your Korean account on Korean servers in English. If you tried this and it's not working, I'd open a ticket on your battle.net page (support in the top right). They're usually quick to respond. |

I think the one i got doesnt allow the english language because its greyed out, you cant click it nor can you use the english installer to play because the one i got was digital 55,000won and i read of others saying they couldnt either
also alot of others are suffering from this like chinese, russian, etc (not just korean people)
so i think it has to do with blizzard restricting language changing which makes no sense |

Indeed. In earlier posts, the blues (Blizzard) was very clear that they wanted the game playable in all regions in all languages. I recommend opening a ticket; if they get enough tickets, they'll fix it.
I guess this is a lesson to you that I learned awhile ago: always buy your software from your native land. |

I would love to do that but the only website that sells UK games and ships to Korea is eBay and that can be risky. The only alternative is sending it to an address in the UK and getting it forwarded on which is a big hassle not only for me but the people sending things on to me. I got lucky with Diablo 2, 18,000 won in Yongsan for the English version with expansion, but i have yet to find a deal as good as that. |

The real alternative is to buy D3 digitally and download it a week before release. That's what I did, not a hitch, don't have to go to the store or wait for a delivery.
I hope people don't misunderstand me because I can't convey tone over the internet. I'm not trying to be nasty, I'm trying to be helpful. |

They charge alot less for these versions..than for the EU/US versions (which ARE NOT LANGUAGE restricted). For 99% of the people buying games in Korea, they'd rather save $10 than have access to a bunch of other languages... |

Update from someone who had a response to a ticket. The CSR seemed unaware there was a problem and suggested the user change the language. More tickets have been submitted/updated. Hopefully we'll have an additional response soon. |
