Hi everyone, I've been asking around for information on visa transfers and Ive gotten some answers, but theyve been pretty conflicting.

I am working at a hagwon in Pohang right now. My contract is up in July but I have a 13 month visa that goes into August. I want to leave Pohang and move to Seoul, which as I see it means I will need to do a visa transfer at my next job. Im in good standing with my current hagwon, so if I need anything from them it wont be a problem.

What exactly do I need to do a visa transfer? Do I need a new CBC/copy of my degree? Or do I just need to get a new contract and boss to sign off on it? What if I switch to a looking for work visa?

I have no problems staying as long as I need, I have a stable place to live in Seoul and enough money to last a long time. But Id like to start working in Seoul as soon as I can after my contracts up. |

I recently applied for a d10 (jobseekers visa)

It's valid for 6 months. Cost me 10,000 won. Filled out 2 forms, gave a photo, fingerprint check and then paid a little extra to have the card delivered to me.

Took 2 weeks. |

				| You go back to immigration, fill out some forms, pay a fee, deposit a copy of contract and other docs from the new employer and you're good to go. they transfer you back to an E2. |

Are you able to leave the country and return with the D10 visa? What are the restrictions on the visa that you know of ?

Thanks! |
