Title says it all...
What are the pros and cons of going through a recruiter vs applying directly for a job? |

None really. If successful, 1 recruiter = 1 job. If you get a job going with 2 recruiters and 1 directly, that also = 1 job in the end.
If you were to go through 999 recruiters and 1 directly, and you didn't get a job through the one school directly or 998 recruiters, then that would mysteriously and crazily = 1 job in the end also.
So, since you only need to find one job in the end, why worry if it is a recruiter or if you go directly? Worry more about the job itself. |

Are you going for public school or a Hagwon? Because if you are going PS I would recommend going direct. |

many jobs rarely a recruiter
one of the worst I ever had was through a recruiter
the other time a recruiter was involved, I applied to smoe directly - they sent my app to a recruiter because that's the way they do things; he wound up being one of the few that are trustworthy - we remain friends to this day.
it's totally your choice. |
