doesn't tell you that japanese major leaguers can dominate american tripleA players, but not usually the major leagues? lots of asian players bomb at the major league level and dominate triple A.
or do you mean american triple a players dominating in japan? i guess both happen.LOL |

The 25-year-old right-hander went 7 2/3 innings for Texas, walking two batters and scattering four hits while throwing 73 of his 118 pitches for strikes in improving to 6-1 on the season. |

Now 11-7 with a 4.38 ERA. He's lucky he's on the team with the most runs scored because most pitchers with a 4.38 ERA would have a losing record.
As with most Japanese pitchers he's been found out. |

I think lots of players, be they American, Japanese, Cuban, Dominican, Venezuelan, or Puerto Rican dominate the minors and bomb when they get called up to the show. |

His peripherals are still pretty solid and he's providing innings. Hard to put nails in the coffin as of right now, particularly when he's only 25. |

Don't count'im out jus yet. He was hampered by an injury but was able to recover his form a bit in his last outing-

| I think he is capable of a solid career with some big moments. He could definitely be in the top tier of pitchers for the next few years. A very successful rookie season. A side note, Dice -K seems to be on the comeback trail. |

"I think I'm just lucky," Darvish said through an interpreter.
Lucky or not, Darvish offered yet another glimpse into the type of pitcher he can be for the Texas Rangers, both down the stretch and in the future. He became one of only four rookies in MLB history to win at least 16 games and record at least 200 strikeouts in a season. He surrendered a run on four hits while striking out nine in eight innings, extending his streak of quality starts to six and improving to 3-1 against the Angels. Darvish didn't necessarily out-duel Zack Greinke, who also gave up just one run on four hits in eight frames.
"My line and resulting numbers were great," Darvish said, "but the details and my command weren't."
Darvish (16-9) finished strong, striking out the side in the eighth with a bevy of sliders. |
