Who do you think Romney will pick for his VP or who would you want him to pick?

I would like him to get a man of integrity and toughness so of course that means John Bolton.

If I was advising him I'd have him pick someone from a swing state. He is behind in all of them, even Michigan where his dad was governor and it was thought it was a given that he'd carry that state.

I'd pick someone who can help him take Ohio or Florida. He's close in Florida and could pull that out if he works hard there. Ohio has fallen a little more behind.

Santorum could possibly be a good VP for him. With Santorum he'd possibly get Pennsylvania, a major swing state, maybe Ohio and he'd get the far right out to the polls. The con to those pros is that he could lose the middle. Santorum is a bit too extreme for the middle.

I'm speechless - we as a nation are truly swirling down the drain.

I'd call this as most likely. Though I don't see any way for Romney to win. His base is fractured, with social conservatives AND libertarian Republicans hating him. He isn't smooth enough to seduce the unthinking middle, and he can't offer social program largesse the way Obama likely will.

He's playing up the debt crisis in the same way that Obama did in 2008... though I think many of the debt-watchers of America already know Romney wouldn't do anything to stop it.

A 3rd party candidate will take some votes from Obama, but far more from Romney.

I listened to the entire interview. I didn't hear where he shoots himself in the foot.

Be specific and point out exactly where.

Yosemite Sam would help him pull in California.

Foghorn Leghorn might help him carry the South. I say, I say, until he gets washed away by that Rue Paul Tsunami, that is.

I saw that Ann Coulter was a supporter for him for quite some time but like Palin she won't be picked.

Coulter would be a fantastic choice for veep. She understands the media, has in depth knowledge on a variety of policy issues, and it would really help the sales of her next book.
