Some people say it like it's a good thing, but I like variety.
Also, the above scenario is very unlikely to happen any time soon if at all, even if everyone immediately started mixing with their exact opposites on the color scale. And the only place that's likely to happen is western countries. Not much mixing in East Asia, Africa, or Middle East for example.

And try telling your average Korean that "the era of homogenous societies is over." Just last week got into a bar discussion about how "pure-blood people" are NOT stronger or superior. They asked me "Where's your evidence?" (Implying they had some evidence to the contrary and that it was a given that 'pure blood' was better).

BTW I think the only reason they were openly arguing this stuff is because my friend joked that he was "pure blood" Dutch and jokingly praised "pure bloods". The Koreans didn't quite see it as a joke though, for them it was a truism. Disgusting view to hold in the modern era. I thought those ideas went out with Hitler.

Exactly. If everyone gets a good education and gets on equal footing, race doesn't have to be such a big issue.

It doesn't mean anything to me.

But, I do worry about negative, hateful reactions from whites as they lose thier democratic majority. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a rise in anti-government/anti-democratic white people who fear losing their grip on government. We could see more shrinking into smaller, homogenus communities and I am going to guess this will be the beginning of a state's rights movement and more racial homogeneity within states.

It certainly doesn't have to get ugly - diversity has its advantages - but the cynic in me says it will. It could be very ugly.

Given the segregation that exists in the US, there is a danger with any one perticular ethnicity dominating.

Ideally mixed race people should take over.

The U.S. is a joke plain and simple, in fact most Western countries are, but the U.S. is the poster boy. The fattest and stupidest "1st world" country, with more people in jail than China (with 5 times the population, and so call Communist) and they call it the land of the free. What a joke, more restrictions, cameras, and don't forget the spy drones, than anywhere on the planet (cept England) Now some Yanks will say "I like that; it's for our safety." Just further evidence of the Joke the U.S. has become, the home of the brave??? Cowards trade secuity for their freedom, and get neither. If George Washington heard you say that he'd kick your ass. In almost every way the U.S. is a joke but so many people think it's the best country in the world. Ya for drugs (precription and street) debt, immorality, divorce, porn, abortions, obesity. The American dream... Like Carlin said, you gotta be asleep to believe it.

Here's some more data, minority as a percentage of under 5 years old population in major US metros.

As you'd expect, California tops the list, with 65-80% minority infant populations. But what got me was the Midwest.
