A multicultural society is a nice idea, but different races aren't always living in harmony together. Call me a bigot but I'd hate to be a marginalised minority in my own country. I've heard enough about what it's like to be the racial minority and I'd prefer if that wasn't me

It would seem that China will have a majority share in all things American by the time Latin congressional representatives have the majority.

So, they'll likely argue in Spanish about how to appease the Chinese.

A women's party will emerge and influence a variety of significant issues.

Specific religions will vote in blocks and have super-lobbies.

Children will have computers implanted at birth.

People will live so long that the system of money will become inadequate as a general system and so become extinct.

Air quality in larger cities will very rapidly deteriorate to the point of causing severe illness in the majority of those that inhabit them.

Bees will have disappeared, and normal, natural agricultural patterns will need to be replaced by artificial foods and manufactured methods of food production.

Internet porn will become obsolete as the implanted computer chips in each individual will provide a visual-electrical stimulus specifically designed to shake the Jones out of the precipitous minions of present day pay per peek patrons.

People will be given full, uploaded knowledge at birth. Schooling will not be required, nor will learning serve any useful purpose. Computers will be utilized to make the human mind function at its peak without any internal effort.

Candy will taste like pennies soaked in formaldehyde.

Happiness will come from a variety of readily available options easily accessed and at no cost.

The sun will sink like a blood red coin into the boiling sea and in the successive darkness, multi-lungual, polytheist cockroach superstars will emerge and in their limitless free time, develop a startlingly intoxicating form of music akin to the real folk blues, but played with much smaller instruments and only audible to humans through the use of a tungsten filament implanted in the ear canal.

These filaments will be highly sought, and roach virtuosos will attain the status of secular deities.

People will throw out all their music from the current era, realizing that this was indeed a precipitant to the disappearance of the sun.

Ultimately, someone will turn the lights back on, but we'll never agree who, and eventually human endeavor will drift back to trying to grow enough food to feed our communities, playing gourds and zithers, and emulating the lugubrious languor of the cries of plankton in the fish depleted bodies of water that will require great efforts to provide potable sustenance.

A lot of people will still think that Spanish is cool as hell, and not that tough to learn, if you already have a good handle on English.

Canned beer will cease to exist.

Where I live in the southwest it seems that the population is about 80% Hispanic - boring...I like variety and I never thought I'd say this but it seems that Korea is actually more diversified than were I live.

You make a good point. No doubt there will be non-white groups that will seek out their advantages...

And, to the guy who doesn't want to live as a minority, always remember that feeling you had when you wrote that. It is an important feeling. Others feel it too, many of them "minorities."

It means squat to me as a Canadian and would also eman squat to me was this birth trend the same in Canada. It is just social and demographical change.

If this means I can now get free rides into Universities solely because of my white skin color then heck ya I'm for it. If that means I can get a job over more qualified black and Mexican because I'm white, then YES!
But something tells me those things still won't be afforded to me even after the racial shift. =(

And Patrick, another NON-American, are you telling me minorities don't get free scholarships to boost minority enrollment is colleges? And are you telling me the story in New Haven didn't happen when black fireman got a promotion over other white firemen who actually scored better on their test JUST because their skin color was darker?
Well, the white firemen sued the city and won, so let's see you justify otherwise.
