E-mart is great. There are 500mL cans of this German stuff 5.0 that I like (3 different varieties). They used to sell something called Damburger which was also nice. I think they are between 1350 and 1550 a can which puts them lower than Hite or Cass and about the same as Hite dry in price. |

I don't think Hite or Cass are actually beers. Just like some orange juice is labeled "Orange Drink" those beers should be named "Beer-like Drinks" |

Homebrew . Just tapped an 5 gallon brew of Northwest IPA that I made back in March. Nothing like a good homemade beer and a group of friends to share it with |

I'm still enjoying the fact that after almost 8 years here, over the past year a bottled Pale Ale has finally become widely available (at least outside of Seoul)
I will be enjoying Coopers Original Pale Ale all summer long. (Available lately at most Homeplus locations) |

I also love the original Budweiser from the Czech Republic. Fantastic stuff and usually about 2,700 won for a bottle.

You must mean Pilsner Urquill |
Nope, Budweiser Budvar. But I like Pilsner Urquill too. |

Do they sell Yeungling in Korea? I know it's an independently owned mid-sided brewery in PA. |

Question. I find Qingdao large bottles for 2500 in a Chinese grocer, but he has no small bottles. I find small bottles at Home Plus for 2500 won. Where can you find the small bottles at a good price? I mean shouldn't they be like 2000 won? |

Nah, there's a buweiser from the Czech Rep.. Or there was until they had to change their name after (even though I think the actual city is named "Budweiser"). |
the name of the city in the czech republic is not budweiser. it's Česk Budějovice or sometimes "budweis" in english. |

They have it in the Pinoy mart and the Happy Mart in HBC and Kyeongnidan. There are better beers in Korea than Yeungling imo. |

Where do you get Baltika for under 3,000 won a bottle? I've only ever come across them at Uzbek restaurants for 5K each.

Baltika 5 for 2,800 won at Emart. |
Oh my gosh -- they have Baltika here?! I had that when I was in Russia and I remember the 5 being really good. I haven't seen it anywhere since. I'll have to be on the look out!! |

I've never seen the small bottles at any of the little Chinese marts, but many of them have 330ml cans. I don't know the usual price because I buy the big bottles, but I would have to assume they are 2,000 or less.
One of the Chinese shops in my neighborhood sells the big 640ml bottles for 2,200 won, and will even give additional discounts if you buy a case or two.
Tsingtao isn't the best beer in Korea and it isn't the cheapest either, but it's definitely the best value in taste vs. cost. |
