Her speechwriter should have told her that the "government" is not a monolithic never-changing entity.

She makes it sound like it's been a faceless cabal in charge since the 1970's (more than 40 years.)

No doubt about it. Ron Paul's understanding of money and banking IS at the level of a 12 year old. Shallow, simplistic gibberish.

Plenty of people would argue that that isn't so far from the mark

Unlike the mighty jaykimf of daveseslcafe.com: changing the course of world history one post at a time (and using just one pitiful, hackneyed, and easily debunked source about the Fed each and every time to do it).

The face of the cabal changes. It's purpose, not so much.

I'm not Canadian and can't really follow. But when she jumps from national banking system to religion then back to the banking system and then to politics, I got that strange feeling I get when I'm watching toddlers in beauty pageants (...or Korean kids performing speeches in speech contests--that our friend's have ghost written). Anyone else feel that tingling feeling...? Confused

Kind of made me want to puke.

That's the very same feeling I get each and every time I hear or read any of the tripe from the WONJCTers. For some reasson, they think their jumping around from 1/2 point to 1/2 point (they never have a completely formed point) is proof of their lunacy of the day.

She's right. The CAD is borrowed into existence from private banks. There is no reason for a government to borrow funds into existence.

If you read the article, that part is in italics emphasizing the play on the word fractional, which is what our banking system is. However, the point that they are making is that our fractional banking system is, in fact, fictional because none of the paper money is actually based on anything except the full faith and credit of the government. If I had a choice between trading money for either the full faith and credit of government X, or something tangible, like gold or silver or diamonds or fresh hookers, I'd take the tangible goods any day.

What's stopping you? Maybe you didn't word that exactly like you meant it, but right now you have the chance to take your money and trade it for silver and gold, and if you're not worried about the law, hookers.
