I hauled all my prized possessions (audio-wise) here to Korea knowing I'll be here from 3 to 5 years. My though process was I have time to enjoy "the hobby" which turns out not to be the case.

I've decided to put some (or all) of the items on the street. The saving of the shipment costs alone would be in the thousands-of-dollars due to the specialized packing, weight and insurance costs. (the ML amp alone weights in @ 85 lbs and the Prodigy's are 6' tall)

Here's the low-down-

Martian Logan Prodigy's New Cost 12k
Aerial T-10's New Cost 7.5 k
Mark Levinson #27 Duel Mono Amp New Cost 2700
Musical Fidelity A308CR Pre New Cost 2600
Linn LP-12 TT w/Grado Gold Cart New Cost 2K
Rega CD New Cost 1K
CJ Premier 9 DAC New Cost 2800
Misc Straight Wire Cables New Cost >2K

The best deal will be had on the whole lot and would be under 50% of replacement cost.

Some items I would move on a piece by piece basis others I could not.

Just to reiterate this is NOT a fire sale....just putting some feelers out to see if any audiophiles abound and if there are you'll know what your looking at and realize the potential saving and the opportunity to have this type of gear on the Peninsula.

For those not into the hobby...its a sickness..lol...stay away!

Enjoy the day!

Very nice.

Yeah, Korean apartments (Seoul) are awful for enjoying music. Not enough space. Floors that are paper-thin.

It's darned depressing. Can't even enjoy my SACD's anymore.

Why don't you try to sell on Auction.co.kr?

I'm sure you've seen the set-ups at the Yongsan I-park Mall -- particular the one with monoblock amps that cost 80,000,000 won each?

There's also a shop near my university that is hidden in an alley in the middle of nowhere, but has hundreds of thousands of dollars in high-end equipment. They had some speakers in there with massive horns on the top (I forget the brand) that were like 7 or 8 feet tall and cost a mint, along with some turntables that are practically the size of the wood lathes I worked on in junior high shop class!
