| I was wondering if there were any PC bangs running an English version of Diablo 3 here in Seoul. I know I have to make an account, but I need a computer that is playing the English version on it. |

| The answer is no. It's complicated and I could get into the whole mess, but in short, no. You shouldn't even play it right now, though. The game is replete with errors and hacking/ID theft. It's a mess and one of the biggest bungled game releases I've ever seen. Hell, just getting the English version of the game in Korean was a struggle of epic proportions which resulted in having to buy the game twice for many people, including myself. |

I went to Battle.net, typed in my CC#. Downloaded the game.
That's about it. Nothing really horrible there. I've run into no errors. I have an authenticator, so I've no worries of ID theft. I have a lvl 60 on the US severs and level 30 on the Asian servers. I have no idea what you're talking about, unless you're discussing the real $ marketplace, which is to be expected, since most people are too lazy or stupid to get an authenticator, thus allowing themselves to be hacked. |

You won't see the English version here because there is no benefit. The game is sold in Korea as a Korean version for 55,000won. The global any language version of the game is sold for $59 UDS. That's a price difference of $13 at current exchange. There would be no benefit for the PC rooms to lay out the extra money on the off chance that a foreigner might walk in AND want to play Diablo 3.
About the only place you might see that be worthwhile is near the army base, but I've never heard anyone talking about any pc rooms near there that specifically try to cater to English speaking foreigners. |

That's W55,000 u just wasted.
Have English version. Click Change language. Game restarts, and downloads Korean language, within 5 minutes game is ready to play in Korean, and now I can swap between languages.
As for changing the version. I believe u can change the language on the Korean version IF you log in first with a US/EU account. Once in, you can change the language, it will update the files, and you'll be good to go. I'll be trying this over the weekend, when I hit the PC bang with some m8s. |

They see it more as a waste of $13. Very few people would need it.
And anyone who has tried has reported they can't get the korean version in English. |

Nope, you can't do that at all. It's because the Korean PC Bang versions are cheaper. So, Blizzard didn't want Americans/EUers grabbing the Korean version for less. |

I'll be honest. I paid the 110,000W for the U.S. version from Yongsan (don't judge me. The game would have cost at least 80,000W anyways no matter how I went about it).
It's really not worth it. Blizzard really screwed the pooch on this one. The gameplay is nicely relaxing in that mindless "kill-everything that moves" kind of way, but the storyline just doesn't hold up (so many deus-ex-machinas just get tiresome. Really Deckard Caine? You know exactly what to do in every f'ing situation?).
Also, it's mad short. I've only really had like a day to play it (like 5 hours) and I'm already on act 2. Trust me, I'm one of those people who obsesses over scouring every inch of the map.
But, whatever, Diablo is about the multiplayer right? Well, they f'ed that up too. The game is always online. I've got SC2 which is essentially always online, but at least you can still do stuff if that's not what you want. But with Diablo 3, not only is it always online, but you CAN'T DO ANYTHING IF THE SERVERS ARE DOWN. I can't stress how irritating that is. If blizzard's updating the servers, you CAN'T PLAY THE GAME IN SINGLE PLAYER MODE...THAT YOU PAID FOR.
Last night I tried to play my main character on the U.S. servers because I finally had an hour or two last night out of my incredibly busy week. And I couldn't. On a friggin Wednesday. So weak.
Then, you think you want to do multiplayer, but there's been heavy accusations of account theft and session hacking. There's no protection against it except to never make your games public.
Then there's the real-money auction house. The whole point of Diablo is to just be the biggest and baddest. To have the best equipment...let's face it, Diablo is Equipment Pokemon. The auction house completely ruins all of that. Making equipment purchasable with real money makes it 10 times worse.
AALLLLL that said. Yes, the gameplay is just as fun as ever, but there's some serious issues that make it really not worth spending anything more than $50 on. |

don't worry, if you play anything other than a demon hunter (who just recently got nerfed) or have the reflexes of a gaming zeus, you won't be clearing inferno mode anytime soon.

1. My bank card is expired and I'm waiting for a new one to ship. Also, $60=70,000W, plus the bank fee to wire money because I don't keep a lot of cash in my American account. So yeah, 83,000W all said and done. My problem, not blizzards, but the OP was talking about buying a desktop for the game. I was just communicating that it's not worth it.
2. Game length shouldn't *depend* on difficulty modes for replayability. That's just silly. I've paid $60+...give me a nice, chunky game experience.
It's not just D3 though. SC2 was expensive as hell and it's single player was ridiculosly easy and didn't even go into the other 2 races, which will be in standalone expansions. So cheap-assed on Blizzard's part and wreaks of sucking cash.
3. The authenticators have been getting hacked:

Didn't you play Diablo 2? No difference here. It's the most anticipated and highest selling PC release of all time, stop whining, you knew exactly what you were getting into before you bought it. |

Simple solution is to buy a portable hard drive.
It's awesome because I can go to ANY PC Bang and play what I want. You get this freedom and you don't have to be reliant on any single PC bang. I jump PC bangs all the time and it's a lot of fun. Like Bar hopping but nerdier.
You will have to change servers everytime though (easy enough it's like 3 clicks), the PC will remember the local server you last logged in on (will almost always be asian servers). So you just have to change the server to "America" when you log on each time. |

| Wait, I can play this at a PCbang? My problem is that my old laptop broke down and I'm stuck on a netbook that cant run a game like this. How can I play this in English at a PCbang? I have no problem buying the game. |
