So, I went through recruiters first for a job and came back with offers that weren't bad, but the schools had some crappy reviews. The recruiters only gave me about 2 days to think about each position, so I took both. Now that I have the offer that I want and all of my docs sent to the school of choice what do I say to the other recruiters I already accepted offers with? Has anyone done this before? I feel rude, but didn't realize how many better offers were out there than what I was offered.

Just be honest. Tell them that you got a better offer elsewhere.

Pretty much your ass is yours until they have that visa confirmation number done.

Still there can be repercussions. The jilted recruiter might get testy and threaten things.

Be honest, be simple and be quick. Do not let it stew.

just start with "I regret to inform you that..." and let your imagination soar Surprised

then end with "I appreciate your courtesy and assistance in this matter and hope we can do business again in the future."

I was in a similar situation as you not too long ago. I got offered a job, they sent me the contract, it looked good and I told them I would like to accept the job, but would need a few days before I sign the contract to review it. In the days following I got offered a better job by a different school with a different recruiter and signed with that job instead.

What I did was e-mail the first recruiter explaining that I had found a better job elsewhere and that I was very thankful for all his hard work he had done for me so far, but that I would be accepting the other job. He called me soon after and was upset and claimed that I was unprofessional and strung him along and etc, to which I simply apologized a few times and that was the end of it. Unless you get unlucky, I would imagine most recruiters aren't all that surprised if the teacher ends up signing with someone else. I have heard stories where recruiters threaten the teacher with some bs, but it's nothing to be worried about. If they start threatening you or anything, just hang up on them and block their calls/e-mails.
