My husband and I are scheduled for a phone interview with LCI Academy/LCI Kids Club tomorrow (Wednesday) and I recently Googled that school and found them on a TEFL Blacklist. However, the position we're interviewing for sounds perfect for us. They are located in Gangseo-gu Seoul; fully furnished housing; round-trip airfare provided; hours are 10am-7pm; 2.3-2.4M WON; starting date March 2nd.
Any experienced advice would help greatly. Thanks! |

| Thanks for the reply - it looks like those are two different locations. We're reviewing the contract for Gangseo, Seoul and I hope that location has a better reputation. |

| it is a franchise. ask the person you are replacing why they are leaving etc.. |

Franchises can go either way. I've found that a couple of the ones I've worked for not only have issues with their location, but also hq.

Hi JCAL,
The chances of you checking this post two years later are slim, but I am wondering - Did you and your husband end up working at the LCI Kids Club in Gangseo-gu? I have an opportunity to work there but cannot find out anything about this specific LCI Kids Club location online. I would like to know if you enjoyed working there or not. | Hi - no, we did not teach at LCI Kids Club, but I know a few teachers who have taught at those schools in Pohang and in Suji, and I haven't heard any complaints. We taught at Dayelin Langcon English in Suji (Bundang Area) and it was excellent. I don't think you can go wrong with LCI as far as getting paid on time and contract obligations, but that's all I can give you. Let me know if you have other questions: [email protected] |

i also have a friend that works at the LCI in Suji. she said it was an excellent school to work for. she actually asked me if i knew anyone that wanted to work there. shoot me a PM if you want me to forward your info to her  |
