Currently in the process of getting all my documentation together before applying for teaching positions.
Came across this on the Korean Consulate website in Vancouver.

Original Canadian university degree
A photocopy of university degree which has been notarized by a notary public within our jurisdiction (BC, AB, SK, Yukon, NWT)
The following items MUST be included by the Notary Public:
Official Cover Letter of the Notary Public Date of Notarization
Official Seal of the Notary Public
Full name of the Notary Public
Signature of the Notary Public
Full contact information of the Notary Public including telephone number and address One sealed university transcript (must be most recently issued and it will NOT be returned)
Fee: Cdn $4.00 per copy (A money order only; do not send cash)
A photocopy of the information page of the applicant�s passport
A return, self-addressed envelope with prepaid postage (Canada Post X-press envelope ONLY)
Address : Korean Consulate (ATTN: Notarization) #1600-1090 West Georgia St. Vancouver, BC V6E 3V7
If your documents do not meet the above requirements, they will be returned to you without being notarized

I have copies of my diploma and CBC notarized, but was not given any type of cover letter. Has anyone else sent their notarized diploma in with a cover letter? And the contact info of the lawyer I went to wasn't given either. Can I just type/print out the contact info myself and add it in with the other documents?

Follow the instructions that the consulate posted and you won't have any problems. If you send what you have to the Vancouver Consulate they won't be notorized.

I finally got through to the consulate. The guy I talked to didn't exactly know what a cover letter(from a notary) was exactly. But he did say that the address and phone number needs to be stamped on the copy of both the cbc and diploma. And that should be good enough...along with the seal, signature, etc...

My bad. So back to the lawyer I go. I wonder how much more she'll charge me?
