Buy new... 400k - 2000k won.
Manufacturer's warranty (most have decent service in Korea - some have on-location service for the 1st year (Lenovo - personal experience)).
Buy used - caveat emptor. 150k - 1000k won.

Ok thanks.
One more question. I kind or remember someone telling me that I should go to a place just outside the main market, that supposedly there are guys in tents offering better deals. Does that sound familiar to anyone, and if so, where exactly are they?

I would NEVER buy a laptop from a guy at the flea market at yongsan.
Spare parts = maybe but a laptop = no.
Your BEST option for a laptop (new, used or refurbished) would be in the Seon-in Plaza. Next best choice would be the terminal building (the big blue one across the tracks from Yongsan station.
The WORST place at Yongsan to get a laptop in above the station itself.

The seon-in plaza is wrongly identified in the photo. It is the building to the right of the one labeled seon-in plaza. You can recognize it from the big, sideways "GIGABYTE" sign on it.

| Check sites like danawa and icoda to find the prices you should expect to be paying before you go too. In fact if you can, just buy from one of those two. You're more likely to get a decent price there. |
