Hi,
I've just been told by a recruitment agency that I can not get a visa due to a DUI on my criminal background. Is this true? |

For the most part, yes.
For a FIRST (E2) visa application, anything other than, "no record found," on your CBC will result in the denial of a work visa application.
You will need to pick another country.
