Ok, so, I found this once before, but I'm visiting the States next month and plan to bring a MASSIVE amount of food and drink home. Like a whole checked bag.
I can't find the link to any rules on limits to how much I can take home. Anyone have any idea or a concrete link? I tried searching Korea customs limits, looking on Korean Air and it's buried in there somewhere... I just can't find it.
This will be checked baggage, obviously, as I know there are carry on soju, err, liquid restrictions. |

You know the US has many shops that sell K-food, right? Right down to Shin ramyeon, kim, dong-dong-ju and the yummy aloe juice.
Unless you're bringing your in-law's kimchi (unsealed) and raw dogmeat--can't think of any other reason to bring over K-food but that's another issue--you should be alright if everything's factory-sealed. (unprocessed meat and fruit/veggies being the only definite no-no's.) |

My hometown actually has a Korean superstore, Super H Mart, in addition to Koreatown. That being said, it's wayyy cheaper to just bring it from here. You know- like 7 usd versus 1 for a small bottle of soju. That way, i'll have suitcase space for any extra goodies or clothes from the States. |
