I searched about a bit before I posted this, but unfortunately I couldn't find any clear answers so I decided to start this thread.

Am I supposed to create the template myself? Or is there a form that the Korean Immigration Office provides?

Would I just copy this format?

Make it yourself. I would recommend using both Korean and English. It needs to cover the relevant info. Easily doable in a word program. I did mine in Google Docs, it was fine.

The real problem is getting the school to sign and seal/chop/red stamp it.

What's the stamp supposed to be? The company's logo? Or the directors seal?

Many businesses and people have a seal that acts like a signature.

It should either be the director's Seal or the companies seal. Through I do not know if it is legally required or just a basic signature will do.

The letter doesn't need to be in Korean. If it's only in English, immigration will accept it.

I can't say with 100% certainty that it needs to be stamped but I'm VERY sure that it does. I highly doubt that immigration would accept it with only a signature or the owner's personal stamp. It will be the business stamp of the school. It will likely also be signed by the school owner.

Do you already know that your school is willing to give you a LOR?

Yes, but I would add a box for the Prinicpal's dojong (stamp). These stamps are the legal signature in South Korea. Look at official paperwork to gain an idea of how the box should look and be labeled in Korean (and add it in English too).

Do you need an LOR at Immi to renew with new employer if you will be completing your PS contract in full?

Umm. New employee does not mean renew. You are doing a transfer and possibly an extension.

It is said that a LOR is not needed if you are completing a contract. If the renewal is done in the last 7 days of your present contract. My advice is get a LOR - just in case. It might be asked for the by immi.

You do not need a LOR to transfer to a new employer at the end of your contract nor do you need a LOR to switch to a d10 at the end of your contract.

You do need to do it all before your ARC expires.

You may also need to write a letter to say why you want to transfer. I was told a few times (by the guy at immigration) to write such a letter. I don't know if it was actually required but it didn't take any time, so I submitted it.

There's an example on this thread.
