The little buggers are getting right through the insect screens...any tips? Too hot to sleep with the windows closed! |

Get a fan!!! Don't open the windows. You won't be able to sleep if they bite you like Dracula. |

Those are likely "dayflies" as Koreans call them, not mosquitoes. They don't bite, but they are annoying. |

Oh really? they look so much like miniature mosquitos...are you sure? That's good news if that's the case, although now I feel guilty because I just massacred hundreds of them. |

Leave a small bowl of your blood on the windowsill so that they drink that instead of biting you. |

Most likely fruit flies and most likely you have some food or plants lying around if they're there. Don't feel too guilty, there's probably billions of them out there. |

Look at the insect. Does it have a thing that sticks out that they use to jab you with. If not it's not a mosquito. |

I agree that they're probably fruit flies... make sure to throw your trash away more often in the summertime, make sure to wash dishes immediately and check your fruits that are lying around~
Dayflies are usually HUGE, so I doubt that they're those... also, if they are, they'll all be lying dead on your floor tomorrow x.x;; |

What the feck. Insects outweigh every other creature on earth, there are trillions of the buggers. They have no thoughts, feelings or morals. They make decisions based on hormones, not thought. They find you by smelling your CO2, not seeing you. They are purely biting and shagging machines. Don't feel bad about making your life (and consequently the lives of your colleagues and students) easier. You don't feel bad about using antiseptic to kill bacteria? Same thing, just bigger. They have no feelings, conscience or attitude. They could as well be plant life. They 'act' the way they do because the quadrillions that have lived have been plenty of opportunity for the strongest (genetically) of the species to survive. Swat the buggers so us other conscious, emotional thinkers have less to be hassled by. |

If you notice 50, there are 300 hiding that you missed. |

If you figure out that they are mosquitos, then go and get a mosquito net, one of those that look like a tent to cover over you while sleeping. You will be able to get a full nights rest without waking up to the super annoying sound of a mosquito buzzing in your ear.
If you figure out that their fruit flies, here's what worked for me. If you have some wine left over, put that in a little jar, cover the jar with Saran wrap, put little holes in it (just enough so you think the critters will be able to get in). Leave it where they congregate. The smell of the wine will attract them to go into the jar, but will not be able to escape because they don't know how they got in.
You should be rid of them within a few days. |

Definitely not fruit flies...fruit flies are small and fat bodied. These looked identical to moggies. |
