My employer fired me then cancelled my visa. Is it still possible to change sponsors on the Visa instead of applying for a new one?

You have 15 days to find a new job or leave country. As changing sponsers aka transfer is not doable unless you have a release letter or just cause to transfer.

Has your boss fired you properly with notice and reasons.

Also double check on the visa cancellation. Call immi or visit in person.

Report to immigration. They will probably allow you to switch to a D10 so you can transfer to a new employer. You are required to report a change in status within 14 days. They will allow you to change status, transfer or depart within 30 days of the end of an early termination of employment (PROVIDED you have a valid ARC).

Unless your employer went INTO immigration I strongly suspect they did NOT cancel your visa (sponsorship).

If you change to a D10, then that allows you to look for a new job. Then when you get one, they will give you a new E2.

Transfer = possible but you have issues if you haven't reported to immigration yet.
Same with a change of status to a D10.

If your employer actually canceled your visa (reported your termination to immigration) and you go over the 30 days you are hooped.

Not only will you then not be able to transfer you will forever more have problems and require home country consular interviews for EVERY new visa application for Korea.

Get thee down to immigration on Monday.

That sucks; you were struck off from your job and permission to work in Korea. It's not the most simple of life - as an EFL teacher - but it has its rewards if you stick it out. Give it a chance, work hard, and you'll see plenty of benefits.
