|
|
Hello -
I have been looking for ELT jobs on Jeju island and I have been approached by several language schools working in conjunction with government schools there.
However, I have a MA in ELT, a CELTA, and 10+ years of ELT experience.
Does anybody have ideas about how to find university jobs on Jeju?
Do I have the appropriate qualifications and experience?
I'd assume the money and conditions would be better..
Any help would be appreciated.

You seem more than qualified for a university position. If you absolutely must work on Jeju you're limiting yourself a bit. There are only 4 universities/colleges on the island.
http://www.jejunu.ac.kr/
http://www.jejuiu.ac.kr/
http://www.chu.ac.kr/
http://www.ctc.ac.kr/
You may be a little late for the fall semester. Might need to wait until the hiring period for the 2013 spring semester. It will also help your chances if you are in Korea and can attend an interview in person. |

Thanks for your help.
I checked out the 4 sites you listed, but 2 of them are only in Korean and the other two don't seem to have a 'help wanted' type of section.
Is there a recruiter or a website that specifically deals with university jobs? Or perhaps better links?
Thanks again!

Most universities want to interview in person so it can be tricky finding a job from abroad. |
