My wife wants a new laptop as her old netbook is a POS and a few years old.
would you recommend heading down to the sunin(?) plaza at yongsan? are the guys there trustworthy and reliable? i've had problems before with those sharks at the ipark mall.
should we steer clear of the LG/samsung/hi-mart shops? |

New and brand name then either the terminal buildg or sunin plaza.
I also do NOT recomment i'park above the station.
Used ore refurbished then definitely sunin plaza and NOT the other 2.
UNLESS she really needs the portability (is she talking it to work every day and bringing it home every evening?) then you'd be far better off with an entry-mid level desktop in terms of price and computing power.

wife being logical as ever won't go to yongsan but has the idea in her head that she could pick up a new sony or something in incheon duty free when we head to osaka next month.
do they even sell laptops in duty free at the airport? |

Not that I know of.
I wouldn't buy one from an airport anyway - no after sales support. You can't even return to them without a plane ticket to get in.
Danawa, gmarket or auction would be the next logical choices.
