| It's been on the forum before. All that means is that you can't work in a public school in Seoul probably Seoul Metro as well. Contact a private non-EPIK recruter for public schools outside of Seoul and your application process for a Korean job will resume again. I personally would not advise anybody have anything to do with EPIK or GEPIK unless they absolutely have to work in the Seoul or Seoul Metro area anyway. |
Why do you advise that no one have anything to do with EPIK or GEPIK? Just curious for your opinion. |

They'd base a hiring decision on that? Maybe I should rethink things here... |

Too bad the real world doesn't have any real jobs... At least in America...
Insert extremely sad face here. |
There are real jobs in the states. They're just not falling off trees right now. You might have to be mobile to snag one (though if you're thinking about heading to SK, then the mobility question is answered). They can't hire folks fast enough in ND right now, and there are still jobs open where I work. |

ND ?? .. as in North Dakota ??? ... umm, no thanks.
OP, contact Alistair at Korean Horizons . He recruits for NON-EPIK Public school jobs across Korea.
I was an overqualified 'EPIK reject' a lil while back and I'm happy with the PS high school job I have now. I'm not in Seoul or Busan but the KTX to Seoul only takes 90 minutes & the train to Daejeon is short & costs about $4 US.
Technically, my city is considered "rural", but it's not bad at all. I'm from a big city in the US & I think I'd face more of a culture shock moving to North Dakota than South Korea , but that's just me.
Good luck. |

I think they're wierd and they're flakes. I wish Seoul and Gyeongi would get rid of them. One agency decides whether or not you work in a locality and not particularly a very reasonable one either. |
