i guess stuffed grape leaves are originally a mediterreanean dish but i used to eat them all the time in saudi arabia. they are an extremely common food there. so i figured other arab countries might have them too.

Having lived in Syria and visited the surrounding countries (except Israel), you can get stuffed grape leaves all over the places in the Mediterranean that I've been to. I think, therefore, that stuffed grape leaves are a Mediterranean thing. They do good stuffed grape leaf dishes in Greece - they call it Dolmades. It's also done well in Lebanon. In Arabic, it's called Warak Aynab. I ate a lot of Warak Aynab, and some restaurants even dish it out along with the rest of the mezzeh.

I'm craving some kunafa. With cheese.

The best kunafa is Nablus kunafa. That's awesome stuff. As far as nargeeleh/argeeleh, you can buy a water pipe in Itaewon at that international store over there. I've thought about it.
