Well, they will actually sell anyone pot, but I'm sure a lot of pot-puffing ESL refugees from countries like Korea will appreciate that sort of legislation. (I certainly would) I guess the Uruguayan government hasn't heard that there is a war on. A WAR ON DRUGS. Just look at Mexico. The US FDA has been fighting that war and look how wondeful it has been for them. What is it? 30,000 dead so far?

| That is the smartest thing a country could do. Get stoner idiots to go teach in your country and instead of giving them wealth or wasting serious tax revenue on them just throw some bricks of Uruguayan Brown at them and a few shekels. |

30,000 dead, MULTI-BILLION$ of dollars gone... and still no further ahead.
Uruguay legalizes it (it actually wasn't illegal), sells it, taxes it and does away with the high cost and related issues with prohibition...
I know where I would bet on a long term winner....
Too bad Uncle Sam didn't learn from the their last lesson back in the period from 1920-1933 and the 18th amendment. Another war that Uncle Sam is doomed to lose.
Oh, and isn't it the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration - a part of the Justice Department) fighting the war...
I thought the FDA was Food and (legal) Drug Administration, "Protecting and Promoting Your Health".

Damn straight. A flat near some Montevideo beach. A WAAAY curvy Uruguayan senorita. A thousand bucks a month. Bags of goverment grade smoke. They will be short listing ESL job applicants to "at least" one Ph.D. |
