When we were kids, my dad got my brother and I a couple of throwing knives we used to throw in the back yard.
I'd like to pick up a few here, but I'm not sure if they're illegal in Korea. Do any of you know if they are in fact illegal, and if not, do you know of any stores in Seoul where I could pick them up? I don't live in Seoul, but I haven't seen any stores in my little city that look like they would sell them, so I'd probably just pick them up the next time I'm in Seoul.

And just to be clear, I've got no intention of carrying them around town with me as protection. I just want to throw them; similar to darts, but better.

Thanks

I believe they are illegal, but you can buy them. There's a weapons guy down the street from the Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon. Take exit 1 and walk for a few minutes; it's one of the vendors that has a stall on the left side of the sidewalk.

Not sure on the legality, but I've bought them from the army surplus street in Namdaemun market.

How about throwing axes?

I saw some nice stainless steel ones in a little variety shop in some underground shopping mall in Busan.

THWOCK!

Okay, thanks for the replies. I'll check those places out next time I'm in Seoul.
