|
|
It has been a long time since I needed a new visa for Korea, so I am not sure what the min. number of passport pages needed are. I have 3 1/2 right now, but one page has a staple right in the middle. Would that be a problem? I will visit the consulate in Seoul upon arrival and get more pages. I would add the pages now, but it takes too long while in the U.S., and I need an E2 visa rather soon.
Thanks! |

One page for the visa and a minimum of 6 months validity for travel.

I feel he's asking if customs will reject his passport as the OP has used up most of his pages.
Honest question.
Can one go through customs with only one free page on a trip? Half for arrival and half for departure? |

if you don't need a full page for a visa you could go on a trip with just a single open page. it's not necessarily recommended, but you can.
i got extra pages added to my passport in seoul recently and it cost around 140 dollars if i remember correctly. however, they called me and told me my passport was in such good condition for the amount of use it's seen (i use a passport cover that also acts as a faraday cage so it's pretty tough) that they would add an extra set for free. win. |

My friend was stuck for pages at short notice. It turns out those visas (eg China, Vietnam etc) that stick in your passport and take up a whole page can accidentally fall off |

You are also aware that a passport that has been tampered with / had an accident / has been damaged / etc. can also be ruled invalid and refused when you attempt to enter a country and if your flight is not from your home country could further complicate matters since you can't enter and can't leave.
