If by Korea, you mean North Korea, there are quite a few, although I won't mention all of them:

A grave and gathering danger, the decision to attack

Billy Joel's "We didn't start the fire" mentions Korea several times. It even mentions Syngmun Rhee, S. Korea's first president.
There's also "The Ajoshi Song".

The Templars - Land of the Morning Calm
On a world flight late one night
He left his friends, he left his wife
Far to the east, destination unknown
Doesn't even know where to call his home
Thought he had it bad back on the block
Knocking down pints with no afterthought
Now he's far away in some foreign land
He took for granted all he had
CHORUS
2x Over the Sea of Japan
He left his freedom, he left his land
Over the Sea of Japan
12 beers later and the sun in his face
It's not a bad dream, he's really in this place
360 days to some, but they're not in the land of the morning calm

Songs that I thought (by their title) must have been about Korea, but turned out to be about something else.
Take this job and shove it (Johhny Paycheck)
Dirty White Boy (Foreigner)
Dirty Deeds (AC/DC)
What a fool believes (Doobie Bros)
Lies (Rolling Stones)
Dirty Old Town (Pogues)
Ooh, that Smell (Lynard Skynard)
Won't get fooled again (The Who)
Should I stay or should I go now? (Clash)
Us and Them (Pink Floyd)
Don't stand so close to me (Police) |

Pavement: Cut Your Hair.
I caught Malkmus playing this song with some Pavement cover band in Seoul and the locals went nuts. |

He's saying "career, career, career..." not "Korea, Korea, Korea..."
You're joking about Malkmus playing in Seoul, right? |

Yeah... back in 2002. He opened for Timony. Played some early solo (Jicks) stuff and was then joined by a Korean cover band.

As for Cut Your Hair... career evolves into Korea. Wordplay. |

You sure about that? I know it sounds like Korea, but I always assumed it was "career", because of the theme of the song. After your post, I looked it up in several lyric websites online, and none of them said "Korea."
Not that that means anything, but... how are you so sure? |
