How much did you pay for the kayak? What brand and model is it? Was it a good boat for Korea? |

Hi V88 sorry for the slow reply I was out of town. I bought the kayak in 2008 in Canada for 800$CAD. When you add in life vest, sparyskirt, paddle, roof straps and getting it to Korea it was just over 1 mill won, which was still cheaper than anything available in Korea at that time. I have probably used it less than 10 times because I hurt my shoulder at hapkido and it took a long time to heal, the paddling would also make it flare up. The model is: Pelican Elite Series Pilot 100 se. I think it can take up to 120kg. I found it to be quite stable and paddles nicely. I think it was designed for lakes so it was quite good here because all of the rivers are large and flat. It's definitely not a white water kayak and doesn't paddle as straight as a sea kayak because it's reasonably short (airplane size restrictions). It's a good in between boat that i used on river and sea. It's about 17kg?? I have no problem carrying it and loading it on top of the car by myself etc. Let me know if you want anymore info. |
