Hey, South Africans on this forum--I would be grateful for your advice! Right now I'm with SK in South Korea, using a Samsung Galaxy 2 smartphone. Will this phone work for a South African phone plan? Again, just to clarify: I don't mean using the phone as a tourist; I mean long-term use, hooked up to the South African grid. I'm thinking there might be compatibility issues, and I might as well sell my Galaxy 2 in Korea. |

I have a Galaxy S (1st version) and was extremely surprised that on an
extended trip to the USA, I was doubled charged for network traffic. All the packets were hard wired to go first to Korea then off to America.
If you leave, you may not be double charged but your speed will suck. Mine was terrible. Some folks had the same phone but bought in the US and side by side theirs was 2-3x faster.
