|
|
I've been in Korea for a few days now and I can't find anywhere to buy computer parts. Does anyone know which retailer sells computer parts (cases, case fans, monitor, etc) and offer delivery (my apartment is too far to carry all the pieces myself). Thanks
Also I'm in the Bundang area, I'm new here and don't really know anyone, if anyone wants to meet up |

Either go to Yongsan or look on-line (danawa or gmarket).
Just read a bit in the Technology Forum (where the computer guys hang out).

Depending on where you are in Bundang and your urgency then there are 2 computer shops on the 2nd floor of the poonglim I want officetel building at Seohyun who sell parts (stock on hand) or can order what you want (next day delivery).

How serious are you? If you want a two (three? can't remember) story building filled with computer parts, and don't mind searching for a good deal for potential hours, head to Seonin Plaza in Yongsan. (Follow ttompatz link)
Otherwise just look around a bit. There are little computer stores just about everywhere, even where I live out in the boonies. |

Seonin plaza is 2 floors with retail on the main floor and is pretty much all computer related. The building between the nanjin arcade and seonin plaza (mislabeled as the seon-in plaza in the photo-map has lots of good stuff in the basement but not a lots of computer parts.
The terminal building (the blue one) is 4 floors with a wide variety of electronics but not all computer related stuff (cameras, phones, misc stuff). Most of the parts shops were on the 3rd and 4th floors with retail electronics and computers on the 2nd and 3rd.

I was looking at gmarket and they have everything I would need, but is there any way to order things online without a credit card or arc yet? I probably wont have my arc for a few weeks and I really need the parts asap. Do they offer any sort of CoD type of payment? Or if not, would it be weird or considered rude if I asked my boss if she could potentially buy it for me if I gave her the cash up front?
Also I'm trying to figure out how to get to Seonin Plaza from Bundang, but it's kind of confusing. Would taking the subway to Seoul, then figuring out how to get there once in Seoul be the best route? |

You didn't say where in Bundang you are but I have found that the easiest way was to catch a 9401 bus (from Seohyun) to Jongno then take the #1 subway (dark blue line) a few stops and get off at Yongsan station.
You also would not be out-of-place to ask your boss or a co-worker for help to get things off of g-market.

Thank you! I'll ask my boss for help today then when I go into work. Also I'm located right next to AK Plaza (Samsung Plaza?) and Seohyeon station. I heard the commute to Seoul by subway was rather long, but I'm kind of nervous about taking the buses since I don't really know the area :/ |
