Anyone know where I can get a hanbok in Seoul (women) for around 100,000 ? I am looking for something simple, nothing fancy..Also had a look on the internet, but the cheapest i can find is about 150,000-180,000. |

Getting a hanbok that cheap would be pretty hard, I think... especially in Seoul... I think 150,000 is the lowest you'll reasonably find... You could go to underground markets and get someone to make one... you can ask for the cheapest fabrics and such and really state honestly that you want the absolute cheapest they can make. Also, if you get a really cheap one, it will be hard to clean (dry cleaning only) so it will be more expensive in the long run if you plan on keeping it for more than a memento or a one-time thing... If it is just a one-time thing, have you considered renting? |

Try second hand shops but you may not get the underwear that goes with it. Or you could wait a few months till Chusok and you might get lucky. |

I have seen hanbok for around 150. Take exit 11 from Jongno3ga, walk straight, I can't recall if it is before or after Jongmyo but it is definitely on that side of the road. It is not the first place that you see when you come up out of the exit though. They usually have a sign with the cost, and it is on the second level, they have about 5-6 staff working at the same time. |
