What's it all about eh? The history of the day is kind of muddled eh? Started as an English celebration. Monarchy is still involved to an extent. However, I get the impression that Canadians today see it more as a Canadian celebration despite its history. So my brothers from the great white north enlighten a yank and tell us what's up with this celebration. What exactly are you celebratin' eh?

As a Quebec educated Yank: it celebrates the formation of the former British colonies into a single country.

Wasn't there a parade of sorts in Itaewon?

I can imagine a few Canucks having their pancakes and Tim Hortons for breakfast, watching the CFL opener a few old episodes of DeGrassi High, topping it off with a dinner of chili cheese fries while listening to old school Bob and Doug McKenzie comedy routines.

Canada's pretty cool. They did bring us Nickleback.

And as an American, I did happen to catch both CFL games this weekend. Rough Riders are looking good this year.

Are Labatt's, Molson, and Moosehead really any better than Bud, Miller, and Coors?
