I especially liked the Cheesecake for 12,000, Red Bean Sticky Bread 3 ct for 7,990, and cherries 4 lbs (1814 g) for 22,000. Does anyone else like Costco cheesecake? |

My grandmother's recipe is darn good and simple (it's unbaked): Graham cookie-crumb crust, Philadelphia cream cheese filling, and cherry or blueberry pie filling as a topping. |

Thanks for sharing the link. I hadn't heard about this.
Why don't you go see for yourself? Just tell them that your wife is already in the store, walk around, and check things out before you decide if it's worth getting a membership or not.
This had me laughing, though:
"Lotte is also planning to offer a differentiated service based on a deeper understanding of Korean sentiment...Lotte plans to offer services more common of a retailer than a wholesaler such as nursery facilities, with more employees on standby near aisles."
Right, because what every Korean shopper at Costco misses the most are ajummas pressuring them to buy certain products. |

Personally, I think Costco has too many ajummas. Those damned free sample stations are maddeningly frustrating obstructions. |

This new Korean version of Costco better be kicking down the 55 gallon drums of shredded onions if they have any chance of competing. |

Sure, buy the cheesecake and freeze it for when you get a hankerin. Why not? Or else you'll be paying 4,500 won for a piece o the same at your local coffee house! |

Costco cheesecake is crap. I mean the Korean one.
I would love to have some mango cheesecake from the Hawaiian Costco. Is that type available elsewhere stateside?
Its better to spend a little more and get something decent. E-mart, Home-plus etc. sell frozen imported New York style cheesecake even in smallish boxes for under 10,000. Thats way better than anything you find here. Some of the coffee shops that are selling better cheesecakes just get this frozen stuff for 1,500 won/slice and sell it for 5,000. |

Yeah, but it'll do in a pinch. You can get the boxed, frozen ones at costco, too. My wife digs on it, not me. I'm partial to my families recipe. Have yet to find any better. |
